…As always, for a moment, we talked about the importance of challenging limiting beliefs (of self, others, circumstances) so we can be more effective as leaders.
And because it’s not enough to simply get rid of the broken tapes/stories I implored them to replace them with the TRUTH of their unique genius and circumstances as they are today.
Why?
Because mindset is EVERYTHING….and has everything to do w how you show up as your brand.
…Heck, I recalled a story I used to be ashamed of to illustrate that point.
“If I hadn’t done my work around living in condemned housing from grades 4 to 12…and continue…to champion the truth of the value I bring as a professional and woman, do you even think for a minute I could stand before this caliber of 36 executives to teach on success through authentic personal branding?”
They all shook their heads, “No.”
This was to encourage them because we all have a story – that we stuff- that gets in our way of our potential, no matter our status.
…YOU are YOUr brand. Your brand expression – the way you speak, act, look and live – is a direct reflection of how you perceive yourself and others. Therefore, we must cultivate a mindset of truth.

Thank you to all you Exec (Moms) who provided insights to a survey question I’d received: “How do women at the top of their career balance it all-family, health, friends, work?”
I have my own experience, yet my family doesn’t include children so I reached out to some clients who are at the top of their careers. I’m so honored they took time to share.
