(Thoughts from last Tuesday…)

Would love to take today as a personal self-care day….the introvert in me wants to process, journal and just BE.

*My heart is heavy for folks hurting around me – from the youth to the grown ups

*I’m thinking it’s better to seek understanding and love than to have a surplus of hate or judgment

*Received some interesting news that has me with question marks

*Still incredulous to how I was treated while pre shopping for a client the other day….their thought that I might steal led to my being “escorted” to the other department where my other holds were. I call it my Pretty Woman experience which I’ll constructively blog about…. Though I felt pretty, my heart was happy and I was just doin’ my job -their unwarranted judgments crept in. Was it the color of my skin? Or the fact that I decided to wear my boot cut jeans and heels vs. my skinny jeans?…Judgments and fear are barriers to us doing the highest good for ourselves and others. This is why we have to ‪#‎challenge‬ our limiting beliefs and judgments -because we operate out of our belief system. (…I invite you exercise the courage to challenge your judgments/limiting beliefs in the small things as often as possible.  This will allow a reserve of discernment vs. judgment when it comes to the big things.)

A full self-care day isn’t in the cards today, but I did just sit down for 15 minutes to read and I’m glad I did. I read what I wasn’t yet able to articulate: “How in the world can God make this (these) provisions? Then it dawned on me that as long as God knew where I was, He could cause anybody in the world to know where I was.”

That struck me hard…..Once again ‪#‎gratitude‬ replaces some of the weightiness, as I’m reminded of the provision of so many of YOU who seemingly out of nowhere have “known” where I was. You have been an encouragement, a teacher, a conduit, a problem solver, a listening ear….examples of mini modern day miracles…not coincidences…which not only impact me, but ripple out to those in my sphere as well. THANK YOU, please don’t tire of me saying so. It is most gratifying to be in friendship with you…and I hope to be the same for you.

What are some of your best care practices?   Self-care can come in 5 minutes or less, don’t hesitate to take what you can!

Whatever you are facing today, I hope this is of some encouragement to you too.
