What’s one #PearlOfWisdom that was offered to you by a woman role model or mentor in your life?
…Five years ago the Young Professionals International Network launched an annual Women’s Speed Mentorship event to celebrate International Women’s Day (http://tinyurl.com/jxslzg9). “This event is perfect for early career women seeking to enhance their leadership potential, or mid-career professionals looking to make a career change or accelerate their current trajectory.”
Tomorrow, I’m honored to be a 2017 mentor and this morning I thought of asking my connections on social media for answers to the above question.
Then, as #NoCoincidences would have it, I met beautiful Jeselle minutes later and while blowing out my curls, I learned of her inspiring and very compelling story of overcoming.
Jeselle was once a teen runaway for 2 years, but incredibly turned her life around.
Now at just 21 years old, she is a cosmetology school graduate…and well on her way to living an extraordinary, incredible life!
She told me:
“No one is going to want it more than I do…so I began to knock (obstacles) down one at a time.”
Her wisdom for young girls and women of any age:
“Set goals. They don’t even have to be big ones. Set any goal that helps move you toward where you want to be and just take the next step.”
A key role model in her life:
“Alyse, my Fairy Godmother.”
Jeselle’s story is so #InsideOut inspiring for any individual at any age! …I’m excited she said YES to a FB LIVE interview on Monday 3.13.17 at 12:30PM. …This will be an interview for any one who wants to #EmergeFromtheStruggle and move into more personal freedom. If she can do it, so can you!
